7″ vs. 9″ Bag Kits: Which One Should I Get?
- 9″ Bag Kit: Best ride comfort and load handling when you have frame clearance.
- 7″ Bag Kit: Ideal for tight spaces or special applications.
Use the Kit Finder to check clearance. Still deciding? Give us a call to compare specs for your setup.
What’s a Rear Offset Kit and Do I Need One?
A Rear Offset Kit lets you mount the air spring away from the axle center when there’s no room directly above the axle.
You need it if:
- Frame rails, body mounts or other obstructions block direct mounting.
- You’re installing dual bags.
Our system flags this automatically, but feel free to ask why we recommend it for your truck.
Single-Bag vs. Dual-Bag Kits: What’s the Difference?
- Single-Bag Kit: One air spring per side—excellent performance and comfort.
- Dual-Bag Kit: Two air springs per side—for maximum air volume, stability, and a premium ride.
If you tow heavy loads or crave top-tier ride quality, a Dual-Bag Kit is your go-to.
What Is a Shock Mount Kit?
You’ll need one if your shock mounts:
- On the factory axle stop (which our kit replaces).
- Somewhere that interferes with the air bag’s travel.
The Kit Finder recommends this for you, or send us a pic at [email protected] and we’ll confirm.
Can I Lower My Truck with This Kit?
Yes. We offer a dump valve to purge air and restore your previous static ride height. For more dramatic lowering:
- Some owners remove leaf springs.
- We don’t officially recommend spring removal—if you choose this route, use a certified mechanic for safety.
Should I Remove Leaf Springs When Installing?
Modifying factory suspension isn’t our official advice. However, many owners remove leaves for extra drop and love the result. Always consult a certified mechanic before making that change.
